Insurance Adjuster Continuing Education Course Guidelines

Sections 14090.1(a) and Sections 15059.1(a) of the California Insurance Code (CIC) were added to the California Insurance Code and took effect on January 1, 2009 as a result of the passage of AB 2044 (Duvall, Chapter 300, Statutes of 2008). These sections establish the continuing education requirement for Independent Insurance Adjusters and Public Insurance Adjusters to satisfactorily complete a minimum of 24 hours each license renewal term, of continuing education courses, including ethics, pertinent to the duties and responsibilities for an independent insurance adjuster license.
